Nestled in North Delta, the McDougall Project breathed new life into a classic 1969 home.
Distinctive style and amazing views
Over five-months the homes basement floor was completely gutted to the studs to create a live-in family suite designed for three generations under one roof. This ambitious transformation included relocating the main water shut-off, converting half of the garage into livable space, and adding a second kitchen and laundry room for complete independence. A new fourth bathroom was added, complete with a walk-in shower and two floating vanities with wall-mounted faucets, finished with beautiful Pearl plumbing fixtures for a modern and refined look.
One of the biggest challenges was the tight grade for the sanitary sewer needed to add the fourth bathroom and the top floor laundry room. Through careful precision and meticulous planning, we overcame this challenge without the need for an additional sewer sump. The result is a warm and inviting home that now offers increased living space, a modern aesthetic, and a fully functioning suite for both families to live, while still coming together under one roof. This project exemplifies how smart design and thoughtful plumbing solutions can bring families closer while creating spaces that evolve to meet changing needs.
